Special Procedures for Requalifying Worthington Galvanized Cylinders
Worthington Cylinders has re-released its guidance for hydrostatically requalifying galvanized steel compressed gas cylinders. This guidance is for both Worthington 3AA Hot Dipped Galvanized Cylinders and also Worthington SP-14157 cylinders. Procedures for successfully requalifying these cylinders include a specific pre-stretch procedure prior to testing. DOT Renewal of Special Permit (SP) 12079
While not yet published on the DOT PHMSA Website, Special Permit (SP) 12079 has been renewed by the DOT. SP12079 affects galvanized steel cylinders manufactured by Asahi Cylinders in Japan and imported into the United States. The new expiration date of this Special Permit is January 25, 2029.
