Special Procedures for Requalifying Worthington Galvanized Cylinders

Worthington Cylinders has re-released its guidance for hydrostatically requalifying galvanized steel compressed gas cylinders. This guidance is for both Worthington 3AA Hot Dipped Galvanized Cylinders and also Worthington SP-14157 cylinders. Procedures for successfully requalifying these cylinders include a specific pre-stretch procedure prior to testing. Failure to conduct these additional steps may result in inaccurate results and rejections/failures of perfectly adequate cylinders. The full guidance is attached to this blog.
